Sound familiar?
From the outside you might look “fine,” but inside you have a nagging sense that life could be better, or things just aren’t right. Your thoughts are constantly stuck in the past or swirling into the future. You feel on-edge and anxious, even when life seems to be going ok. Your relationships aren’t as fulfilling as you’d like them to be and sometimes your emotions feel out of control. You know you want more out of life, but it’s hard to know where to start.
I understand! And I’m here to help!
I know all women have very unique mental health needs and I also believe every woman has it within her to find relief from her painful habits and feelings, and create the life she has always wanted. Let’s work together to figure out why you’re having this experience and get you there.
So glad you stopped by!
Hi! I’m Jennifer Bray, the owner & founder of Lemongrass Counseling.
If you have found yourself here, that probably means you’re thinking about making some changes in your life. Wow, can I relate! Just a few years ago my whole life took a 180-degree turn and I knew it was time to start feeling better and creating the life I actually wanted. During that journey I realized how incredibly important it is to have support. I embarked on my career as a mental health counselor and have found tremendous fulfillment supporting women as they navigate their own journeys of change. I can’t wait to learn your story and help you build a life of peace, clarity and fulfillment.

FAQs
Will our sessions be in-office or online?
I offer only virtual telehealth services at this time, so you can attend sessions in the comfort of your home.
How much do sessions cost? Do you take insurance?
Private Pay
Sessions are $125/50-minutes ($180/80-minutes).
Insurance
I am currently in-network and able to accept Aetna insurance in Florida & Utah.
I am currently in-network and able to accept Optum insurance plans in Florida only. Optum includes UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, and Oxford.
If you don’t have one of these plans:
If your insurance provides out-of-network benefits, they will likely reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. To lower your costs and make things easier for you, I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay your co-insurance for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This can save you on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.
What can I expect at my first session?
I will email you a link so you can create an online profile and complete your initial paperwork electronically. These forms need to be completed prior to our first meeting so I can gain a more in-depth understanding of your needs and goals, and be better prepared to serve you. Our first session will be spent getting to know each other and you will have the floor to share as much as you feel comfortable about yourself and current concerns. Don’t worry, if you feel awkward or don’t know where to start, I’ll have plenty of questions prepared to help our conversation.
How often do I need to attend counseling sessions?
At the start, clients typically come to therapy once a week. As their healing progresses, clients sometimes prefer to scale back to once every two weeks. The more regularly you attend sessions, the more likely you are to see results, growth, and healing. A client’s attendance and participation in the therapy process is often the most important component of successful counseling.
How many sessions will I need?
The length of your therapy journey is unique for everyone and will depend on your specific needs and goals. I adjust my approach to meet you where you are and work collaboratively with you to adjust our goals as we go along. Whether this is the first time in therapy or you’ve been on your healing journey for a while, I am honored to support you at any point in your process.
